Website screenshot
Type a URL, get a PNG of the page in a real browser. The same as POST /v1/screenshots.
curl -X POST https://api.imageapis.com/v1/screenshots -H 'X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY' -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"url":"https://example.com/","width":1280,"height":800}'What this is
The page is loaded in a headless Chromium with the viewport you set, the browser waits for the network to settle, and a screenshot is taken. The free tool captures the viewport; the API also captures the full scrollable page, a single element by CSS selector, waits a delay for animations, and hides selectors you name, which is how you drop cookie banners and chat widgets.
What it refuses
Private and local addresses, link-local and cloud metadata hosts, and anything that is not http or https. The browser has no cookies or sessions, so it sees what a logged-out visitor sees.
Keeping them fresh
A screenshot is one image. For a thumbnail that should stay current, render it on a schedule with webhook_url, or build a signed URL for a template and let the cache expire weekly.
