Animated card maker
A still card, set in motion. Pick a starter and a style, and every layer comes in on its own beat as an MP4 for social posts or a GIF for email and docs. With a key, the same template renders up to 30 seconds at 1080p from one API call.
curl -X POST https://api.imageapis.com/v1/videos -H 'X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY' -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"template":"tpl_…","variables":{"title":"Launch week starts Monday"},"format":"mp4","wait":true}'What the styles do
Each layer gets an entrance a beat after the one beneath it, so the card builds itself instead of appearing all at once:
| Style | Text | Shapes and bars | Images |
|---|---|---|---|
| rise | slides up into place | wipes in from the left | zooms in |
| pop | springs up from small | springs up | springs up |
| type | appears a character at a time | fades in | fades in |
| fade, wipe, zoom | the same for every layer |
A full-size background stays put. The demo renders up to six seconds, at 640 px for GIFs.
The same thing from code
Motion lives on the layers, so it is part of the template: give a layer an animate and it moves in videos and rests in images.
{ "name": "title", "type": "text", "text": "{{title}}", "x": 72, "y": 200, "width": 1056, "height": 200,
"animate": { "in": "slide-up", "in_at": 0.2, "easing": "spring" } }
Then POST /v1/videos with the template, your variables and "format": "mp4", "webm" or "gif". It costs one image per second of video. The video guide lists every entrance, loop and exit, and the editor has an Animation section on every layer, with a play button to preview it.
